📝 About the Japanese Writing System
Japanese is written using a unique combination of:
- Kanji (漢字): Chinese-origin characters for nouns, names, and verb roots
- Hiragana (ひらがな): Native syllabary for grammar and particles
- Katakana (カタカナ): Used for foreign loanwords
- Rōmaji: Roman script used in modern digital and international contexts
🎯 Test Preparation: JLPT & NAT-TEST
We prepare students for the two most recognized proficiency tests:
🔹 JLPT – Japanese-Language Proficiency Test
Organized by the Japan Foundation, the JLPT is the most globally accepted Japanese test. It has 5 levels:
- N5 & N4: Basic understanding (ideal for beginners)
- N3: Intermediate (transition level)
- N2 & N1: Advanced fluency (academic/professional use)
🔹 NAT-TEST – Nihongo Ability Test
An alternative to JLPT with 5 levels (Level 5 = easiest, Level 1 = hardest). It evaluates:
- Grammar & Vocabulary
- Reading Comprehension
- Listening Skills
NAT-TEST is held multiple times a year and is often required by language schools for visa documentation.
